​For the past 18 years I have been working artistically with the image of Christ. My work necessitates pondering such questions as: What is a face? How can expression and meaning live in it without sentimentality? What is death? What is resurrection? Can I present an experience for my viewer without pictorial images? How can religious art be contemporary, an expression of an experience in the present?   Working with the image Christ has led me to working with faces in general. How can I see God in every face?
